Stackable Flood Barrier (STE-100)

The SAK model STE-100 Stackable Flood Barrier is a light weight economical design that can be integrated to protect openings on new construction projects or simply retrofitted to an existing structure.  The STE-100 flexible design allows this system to be deployed in small openings like doorways, wide openings such as large store fronts and parking garage entries.  The STE-100 can even be used on extremely wide openings or spans to be used as a removable flood wall.  This system will be designed custom to your project needs.

The STE-100 Stackable Flood Barriers horizontal stackable extrusions are a unique boxed design with an exclusive internal feature.  This design not only keeps each stackable extrusion light, it provides the system with the structural strength to span wide openings minimizing the amount of connection mullions required, or eliminating the need for mullions all together.

Each STE-100 wall frame, face mount or jamb mount, can be installed permanently with covers provided for aesthetics and protecting the seals and components, or the frames can be removable if required.

For extremely wide openings the SAK STE-100 custom Removable Connector Center Mullions give you the ability to span any size opening.  Removable Corner Connector Mullions are also available for projects that require one or many 90 degree turns along the system span.

Sealing the STE-100 Stackable Flood Barrier to its frame assembly is done by mechanical compression seals.  For redundancy the SAK STE-100 Stackable Flood Barrier has been designed to use two seals on each horizontal Stackable Extrusion and each vertical wall frame resulting in superior sealing.

Every STE-100 Stackable Flood Barrier is shipped with all installation hardware and sealants required for installation.

Lift-Out Flood Barrier (LOFB-200)

The SAK model LOFB-200 Lift-Out Flood Barrier is a light weight barrier designed for openings that require a single panel design.  This system can be installed quickly with no tools required.

The LOFB-200 is made with structural aluminum and assembled with some of the latest technologies in aluminum manufacturing.  Through extensive research along with the technologies implemented in the design of this system, the LOFB-200 is one of the lightest and strongest lift-out panels available.

Sealing the LOFB-200 Lift-Out panel to its frame assembly is done by mechanical compression seals, eliminating the need for power or air pumps, as used on other systems that rely on inflatable seals.

The standard Aluminum construction of the LOFB–200 along with the standard EPDM seal is a good fit for most flood mitigation applications.  If there is the need to add an extra layer of protection from potentially corrosive liquids, this system can be constructed of optional Stainless Steel along with optional corrosive resistant Seals.

The SAK LOFB-200 Optional removable Connector Mullions are available for wider openings.  Connector Center Mullions give the user the option to run this system lengthy spans, while adding Corner Mullions give the user the option to turn the system around 90 degree corners.

Hinged Flood Gate (HFG-300)

The SAK model HFG-300 Hinged Flood Gate is the top choice for structures where fast deployment is required.  The design of this hinged system allows you to close the gate at the first sign of potential flooding, keeping flash flood waters out.

The HFG-300 is made with structural aluminum and assembled with some of the latest technologies in aluminum manufacturing.  Through extensive research along with the technologies implemented in the design of this system, the HGF-300 is also one of the lightest and strongest hinged Flood Gates available.

Lift-Out Flood Barrier (LOLV-400)

The SAK model LOLV-400 Lift-Out Flood Barrier is ideal for openings such as louvers, windows, crawl spaces, wall/floor vents or doorways with the optional sill adapter.  The LOLV-400 can be designed to seal three sides for openings that only need a three sided seal or four sided for openings where the flood level is above the top of the opening.

The LOLV-400 is a very simple system to install and deploy.  The lifting handles have been designed with ergonomics in mind for deploying on wall applications.

The standard Aluminum construction of the LOLV-400 panel, steel sub-frame and the standard EPDM seals is the most popular choice.  The LOLV-400 panel itself can also be opted in Steel or Stainless Steel and the sub-frame can come in optional Aluminum or Stainless Steel.

Sliding Pocket Gate (SPG-500-TM)

The SAK model SPG-500-TM Sliding Pocket Gate was designed for openings where swing room is not available for a hinged gate or if the system needs to be concealed.  The trench mount sill design is ideal for projects where a smooth threshold is required.  If a surface mount sill is required, see SAK model SPG-500-SMS.

The SPG-500-TM Sliding Pocket Gate provides instant access to the gate when fast deployment is required in a flash flood situation.

Sealing the SPG(I)-500 Sliding Panel to its frame assembly is done by inflatable seals.  The inflatable seal design is more preferred on particularly large gates eliminating the issues with seal binding that can take place on larger sliding gates with compression seals.  The dual inflatable seal design provides redundancy in the event one of the seals are damaged.  Inflation of the seals can be achieved by the standard manual inflation using a portable manual or electric air pump.  An optional compressed Nitrogen tank with control valves is available, or the system can be designed for the customer to run air lines to the optional control panel.

Individually Dogged Watertight Door (IDWD-600)

The SAK IDWD-600 is a heavy-duty Individually Dogged Watertight Door ideal for openings that need to be sealed for long periods of time or are infrequent use doors.  These doors can also be installed outside of a standard door and closed prior to a potential flood event.  The heavy-duty design is a top choice for projects with a high water head pressure requirement.

Sealing the IDWD-600 Watertight Door to its frame assembly is done by mechanical compression seals eliminating the need for power or air pumps used on other systems that have inflatable seals.  Once deployed the individual dogged handles are turned providing optimum compression to the seal.

The standard steel painted door can be also be ordered in optional 304 or 316 Stainless Steel mill finish.  There are also optional seals designed for more corrosive environments. Optional removable sill is also available for projects that require a smooth threshold during operation when the door is in the open position.

Quick Acting Watertight Door (QAWT-700)

The SAK model QAWT-700 is a heavy-duty Quick Acting Watertight Door ideal for openings that need to be sealed extremely fast.  These doors can also be installed outside of a standard door and closed prior to a potential flood event.  The heavy-duty design is a top choice for projects with a high water head pressure requirement.

The SAK model QAWD-700 Quick Acting Watertight Door is always in place and ideal for fast deployment in a flash flood situation.  The Quick Acting design allows all of the compression latches to engage in one single motion.

Sealing the QAWD-700 Watertight Door to its frame assembly is done by mechanical compression seals eliminating the need for power or air pumps used on other systems that have inflatable seals.  Once the center mechanism is turned, the compression latches provide optimum compression to the seal the door.

The standard steel painted finish door can be also ordered in optional 304 or 316 Stainless Steel mill finish.  There are also optional seals designed for more corrosive environments.

Pedestrian Flood Door (PFD-800)

The SAK PFD-800 Pedestrian Flood Door is designed for a flood mitigation project that requires no human interaction.  This door is ideal for frequent access and projects that can experience flash flooding at any time.

Sealing the PFD-800 Pedestrian Flood Door to its frame assembly is done by mechanical compression seals eliminating the need for power or air pumps that are often needed on other systems that rely on inflatable seals.

The standard construction of the PFD-800 Pedestrian Flood Door is Steel with a paint finish.  Optional 304 or 316 Stainless Steel design with a mill finish is available.  Other options are also available such as view ports, double leaf design, and specialty finishes.
