During storms we always do what is necessary to get ready for the imaginable so that we are safe. We try to mitigate against losing our belongings by preparing for the winds, rain, and floods. Unfortunately, humans are not the only one’s to lose homes and belongings.
During Hurricane Irma this Manatee was left stranded in the Sarasota Bay as the water was sucked out of the bay as Irma made her way up the coast, still about 100 miles south of Tampa. Before Irma could give us rain she pulled all the water out of the bay and then she gave it back plus more. This beautiful sea cow and a friend were lucky to have some human intervention and were rescued and saved.
